The LED Display is flashing

The PowerUP DV2 contains a SMART IC chip that identifies the safest charging option for your device.  As your battery becomes full, the SMART IC chip reduces the USB power output (amps). This charger detects the following: over-current, over-charge, and over-temp. In the event of any electrical issues, your devices will be saved.

This charger displays the vehicle’s operating voltage when no devices are connected. A flashing LED screen indicates a potential vehicle voltage problem. This is to protect you devices from any car battery surges that may damage them.

The Display will blink under the following conditions:
12 Volt Vehicles with Voltage under 11.5 and over 14.9
14 Volt Vehicles with Voltage under 23.1 or over 27.3

Troubleshooting:
  • Please remove and then reinsert the PowerUP DV2 in to the car’s DC port.
    • Does the display still flash?

  • Please try the PowerUP DV2 in another DC port in the vehicle.
    • Does the display flash?
If the troubleshooting above does not resolve this, we would encourage you to have the battery in your vehicle checked by  a mechanic as the battery may be outputting too little or too much power to safely charge your devices.

Please contact customer service if the troubleshooting above does not solve the problem.
