Computer is not reading card inserted into the DataMine Multi-Read



  • Please reset the connection by disconnecting the USB cable from your computer to the DataMine Memory Card Reader. Wait a few seconds and then reconnect. Please make sure that there is a good connection from the reader, to the cable, to the computer. If this does not help, please make sure that the USB port on your computer is functioning properly. You can either try a different USB port or try inserting a different USB device as a test for port functionality. This reader only supports up to 16GB card capacities. 32GB cards cannot be detected.
    • Does this solve the problem?
  • Double check the memory card is inserted into the correct slot and that the inserted card is not locked as this may prevent the card from being read.
    • Does removing the card and reinserting or unlocking the card allow it to be read?
  • Be sure to plug the DataMine Memory Card Reader into your computer after it has booted up, do not start the computer with the DataMine Memory Card Reader inserted.
    • Does this solve the problem?
  • Try the memory card in another reader if possible to eliminate the card as being the problem.
    • Does the memory card work in another card reader?
