Phono Reamp Pro producing Static/Distortion

Troubleshooting:
  1. Ensure the turntable does not already have a built in preamp in the turntable.
    1. You already have a phono preamp if your receiver or amp has an input labeled PHONO.
  2. Ensure to check that the grounding wire is tightly wound around the GND Screw.
    1. If your turntable does not have a GND Wire, then it will not be compatible with the Preamp.
    2. Alternatively, you can contact your turntable’s manufacturer to see if a GND wire can be connected.
  3. Ensure that the needle to the turntable is not damaged as this can cause the audio to be distorted
    1. Check for visible damage such as jagged edges or bending of the needle head.
  4. Distortion can also mean bad RCA cables; please ensure that all cables are functioning properly.
  5. Use the INPUT GAIN and MONITOR LEVEL knobs to adjust until there is no static/distortion.
    1. Does this resolve the issue?
  6. Lastly, try a different power source as the outlet could be outputting incorrectly.
