BlueSYNC STW is not turning on

Troubleshooting:

Plug the AC wall adapter into the back of the BlueSYNC STW and plug the other end into a AC wall outlet. Press the power button on the side of the speaker.Does the speaker turn on?
If the speaker does not turn on, try pressing the power button on the remote. Does the speaker turn on now?
If no power still, unplug the speaker and try plugging it into a different wall outlet. Does the speaker receive power now?
