Bluetooth transmitter with Bluetooth headset and TV (non specific)

This article will cover the steps needed to pair a GOgroove Bluetooth transmitter to a GOgroove Bluetooth headset for use with a television. The same basic principles will still apply if you're not using a GOgoove headset, any other Bluetooth headset with A2DP Bluetooth will pair to our GOgroove Bluetooth transmitter. Once you have the GOgroove Bluetooth transmitter paired with a Bluetooth headset, you can then set up the devices to be used with a television.

** Please note, our GOgroove Bluetooth transmitters do not have a memory, they will need to be paired with your Bluetooth headset each time you wish to use it. The transmitter will shut off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. **

Step One - Pairing the transmitter to the headset:

  1. For best results, make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices in the immediate area or that their Bluetooth is turned off. It's possible the transmitter or the device you're attempting to pair to the transmitter may try pairing to something other than each other.
  2. Please make sure that both the headset and the transmitter are powered off.
  3. First, place the headset into pairing mode, for most devices, press and hold the power button or pairing button down for 7 seconds until the LED on the headset starts flashing red and blue. A flashing red and blue LED indicates the headset is in pairing mode.
  4. Second, place the transmitter into pairing mode, press and hold the power button down for 7 seconds until the LED on the transmitter starts flashing red and blue. A flashing red and blue LED indicates the transmitter is in pairing mode.
  5. Place the headset and the transmitter close together, they will continue to flash red and blue for up to 15 seconds. Once they are connected, the LED's will stop flashing red and blue and will only blink blue every couple of seconds.  You are now ready to connect the transmitter to your TV or audio source.

Step Two - Connecting the transmitter to the Audio source:

Now that you have the transmitter paired to a Bluetooth headset, you can connect the transmitter to an audio source and enjoy the audio output through the paired Bluetooth headset.

The transmitter has an attached 3.5mm auxiliary cable, using this attached cable you can connect the transmitter to your audio source via the headphone out jack (if it has one) or by using a 3.5 AUX to RCA adapter (Included with BlueGATE TRM, must be purchased separately if you have a BlueSENSE TRM).
The audio source can be a TV, Cable Box, Satellite Box, DVD/Blu-ray, or Streaming Video Player. If your audio source has a headphone output jack you can plug the transmitter directly into that port. If your audio source does not have a headphone output jack, you will need to use the RCA adapter (Included with BlueGATE TRM, must be purchased separately if you have a BlueSENSE TRM).

When plugging the transmitter into the audio source using a  RCA adapter, make sure you are plugging the red and white jacks from the RCA adapter into the red and white ports on your audio source. Make sure the ports you are plugging into are labeled AUDIO OUT, RCA OUT, ANALOG AUDIO OUT, or OUTPUT. You will not get any sound if you plug the transmitter into any port that is labeled AV1, AV2, or INPUT.

If you try plugging the transmitter into your TV first and you do not get any sound to the headset, please try plugging the transmitter into other ports labeled AUDIO OUT on the TV. If you still do not get any sound, please try plugging the transmitter directly into the source feeding the audio signal. This means plugging the transmitter directly into the Cable Box, Satellite Box, DVD/Blu-ray, or Streaming Video Player. Again, make sure you are plugging the transmitter into a headphone or auxiliary port labeled AUDIO OUT or a RCA red and white AUDIO OUT ports on these audio sources.
