Pairing to the BlueGATE RXT

Pairing as a Receiver:

Note: When in RECEIVER mode, the BlueGATE RXT will only pair to Bluetooth devices which transmit a signal. As a receiver, the BlueGATE RXT allows users to turn non Bluetooth speakers, headphones, car stereos, etc to accept a Bluetooth audio from devices like smartphones, tablets, mp3 players, and other mobile devices that are Bluetooth equipped. You just need to connect the BlueGATE RXT to headphones or a speaker system via the included 3.5mm AUX cable.

  1. Make sure the BlueGATE RXT is powered off.
  2. Move the switch on the side of the BlueGATE RXT to RCV (receiver mode).
  3. Press and hold the power button down for 9 seconds, do not let go until the LED next to the Micro USB port is flashing red and blue. The BlueGATE RXT is now in pairing mode.
  4. From your Bluetooth enabled device, navigate to the Bluetooth menu and select "scan for device".
  5. The BlueGATE RXT will appear in the pairable device list, select it to connect.
  6. If you're prompted to enter a pin, please enter "0000".
  7. Once connected, your device will notify you that it is connected to the BlueGATE RXT for media audio.

 

Pairing as a Transmitter:

Note: When in TRANSMITTER mode, the BlueGATE RXT will only pair to Bluetooth devices which receive a signal. As a transmitter, the BlueGATE RXT allows users to turn non Bluetooth devices such as computers, televisions, older mp3 players or other devices without Bluetooth to stream wireless audio to a Bluetooth speaker, headset, or headphones. You just need to connect the BlueGATE RXT to the non Bluetooth device via the included 3.5mm AUX cable or RCA cables.

  1. Make sure the BlueGATE RXT is powered off.
  2. Move the switch on the side of the BlueGATE RXT to TRM (transmitter mode).
  3. Place your Bluetooth enabled headset, headphones, speaker, or other receiver into pairing mode first.
  4. With your device now in pairing mode, press and hold the power button on the BlueGATE RXT down for 9 seconds, do not let go until the LED next to the Micro USB port is flashing blue rapidly. The BlueGATE RXT is now in pairing mode.
  5. Keep the BlueGATE RXT and the device it is to be paired to in close proximity.
  6. Once your device and the BlueGATE RXT and connected, the BlueGATE RXT will stop blinking red and blue, and just flash blue.

 

Further information:

For best results, make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices in the immediate area, or that their Bluetooth is turned off. It's possible the BlueGATE RXT will try pairing to another device, or if it was previously connected to something else, it may try reconnected to the last device it was connected to.
