No sound / low volume from the BlueSYNC XPL

Troubleshooting (Bluetooth no sound):

  • Please make sure that your Bluetooth device supports A2DP (audio/music) connection, and that it has been paired properly to the BlueSYNC XPL.
    • Does your device indicate that it is connected to the BlueSYNC XPL?
  • Try adjusting the volume on the BlueSYNC XPL speaker and on the paired device.
    • Does adjusting the volume make the audio audible?
  • Please make sure that your mobile Bluetooth device is within 30 feet of the BlueSYNC XPL. The maximum Bluetooth range may vary in different environments and on the paired device.
    • Does moving the Bluetooth enabled device closer to the speaker solve the problem?

Troubleshooting (AUX no sound):

  • Please make sure that the 3.5mm audio cable is properly connected to the speakers AUX input and to your devices headphone jack. Make sure that your devices volume is enabled and not muted.
    • Does this solve the problem?
  • If you have a case or skin on your device, please remove it. Sometimes these covers can block a headphone jack and prohibit a complete connection.
    • Does removing any case or skin solve the problem?
  • Please make sure to adjust volume on your device as well as on the BlueSYNC XPL. To adjust the volume on the speaker, turn the volume control knob on the back clockwise increase volume or counter-clockwise decrease volume.
    • Does changing the volume on the BlueSYNC XPL or the device allow you to hear the sound?
  • Try listening to different music files or different audio types.
    • Is the volume low or non existent on every audio file played, or only some?
  • You can also try different media sources, i.e, please try a different media device, memory card, or flash drive.
    • Does using a different media source solve the problem?

Troubleshooting (RCA no sound):

  • Please make sure that the RCA cables are properly connected to the speakers and to your devices RCA jack. Make sure that your devices volume is enabled, not muted, and the correct audio source is chosen from the source menu.
    • Does this solve the problem?
  • The red and white RCA cables must be plugged into the same color RCA jacks on the speaker, and your device.
    • Are you plugging the red cable into the red RCA output jack on your device, and the white cable into the white RCA output jack on your device?
  • Make sure the cables that are going from the BlueSYNC XPL are getting plugged into the RCA OUTPUT on your device, not the input. The input receives sound, the output sends sound.
    • Are you plugging the cables into the correct input?
  • If you're still not getting any sound, try plugging the cables into the other set of RCA jacks on the speaker, and into a different RCA output jack on your device.
    • Are you getting sound now?
